Physical, Intellectual, Emotional and Social

Adenia Linker, aka YogAdenia's teaching style and her program are very organic. Her sessions are quite the opposite of most organized and often competitive children's physical activities. She utilizes every question to create dialogue about the body and its maintenance. "Kridati", as she humbly calls her style, refers to the Sanskrit word meaning to play. Teaching while playing truly demonstrates the unique and essential power of play as a means of transferring knowledge to children.
We know that not all pains and stresses are visible, and some are even caused with the best intentions. Because the benefits of yoga are so great, exposing children gives them the opportunity to learn how to work from the inside out while dealing with personal challenges. Teaching children how to relax and counter stress with ancient exercise helps them navigate with confidence the chaos of our modern world. Classes for Your School

Sessions are taught by Adenia Linker, and while all staff are encouraged to attend, each session must be attended by at least one member of the school staff. Participants are asked to complete a registration form and photo release, which is provided prior to the beginning of any program.
Each yoga session starts with breathing exercises and includes asanas (yoga poses) and yoga games. For younger children, topics such as cooperation, peace and environmentalism are introduced through storytelling and music. Older students participate in more traditional classes, highlighting anatomy and body maintenance, and preventative health tips. All sessions end with age appropriate visualizations ranging from magic carpet rides to immune system imagery and brain exercises.
An appropriate pre-determined space, such as a gymnasium or multi-purpose room will also be reserved for the term of the program. Music, mats and any other props for sessions will be provided unless otherwise specified. The hosting facility will provide storage for said items if necessary during the term of the program.
